Lonnie Johnson on the other hand was well known for blues, but excelled in jazz, and especially chord composition, creating a vocabulary nobody but perhaps his partner Eddie Lang and (much later) Wes Montgomery would master. Chet Atkins may well be Johnson's only contemporary in the history of overall guitar mastery. Not to take away from Eddie.
